The Buffalo Bills gave it a gallant effort against the mighty Indianapolis Colts. The Bills were able to slow the scary Colts attack. Terrence McGee showed a lot of heart, trying to single-handedly keep the Bills in the game. He returned a fumble for a touchdown and had another long kick return. But the Bills offense couldn't punch the ball into the endzone. Down 17-16 in the 4th quarter, Ryan Lindell, a very consistent kicker, missed a 41-yard field goal. Peyton Manning and the Colts methodically ran out the clock.
Unfortunately, moral victories don't help a team in the standings. It doesn't matter if the Lions blow you out or you lose to the Colts in Indianapolis by 1, a loss is a loss.
